These days, I've been a little busy. Working at the courthouse, hockey practices late at night, meeting up with friends, studying the crazy language which is Japanese, perhaps going to karaoke once or twice, and basically chilling out around town, acquainting myself with the oddball changes and the people there (you know what? I haven't been to the new Dunkin' Donuts yet, it's kinda strange). I've been going to back to Youth Group and the kids are glad to see me. I went on Friday and almost freaked out because this seventh-grader asked me if I was studying Japanese and became so infatuated with it that I almost practically wondered if it was the same Youth Group I once went to before I left for Tokyo. Those times are 'a-changin'.

Today marks the end of my three-day weekend. Let's see, on Saturday, I pretty much stayed home and rested because lately I've been sleeping and waking up late. A lot of sleep is what I missed in America, so now that I'm here, it's all good. Yesterday, I met up with some other people to play street hockey scrimmages in the blistering cold for about two-and-a-half hours, it was fun. Rekindled friendships and finally got to play some hockey. Even though I was freezing that day, it felt good to move around, score two goals (really, that's what I had) and make one assist, and sweat. Really good exercise.

And speaking of hockey, I've been having a personal trainer around (because of the aforementioned late-night practices) for my preparation for the Sophia University hockey team in which I'll be playing next semester starting April. I never knew how much I'd miss since I've done hockey exercises since I was a kid. It was tremendously backbiting, but I'd say it was worth it. Only four more practices to go. Four more times of the "cruel and unusual punishment" that the Constitution states, hahaha. Just kidding. It's tiring, but it's much fun! Join me sometime!

Oh, after the scrimmage, I went to meet up with a study abroad friend of mine, Devin, and we went with her friends to do karaoke. 'Twas definitely fun. I got to sing "POP STAR" by Hirai Ken and "Seishun Amigo" (y'know, that crazy, addictive song, which is originally Swedish). Her friends are really nice and they just like to chill and have a good time. We went to Grey's Papaya after that . . . man, I haven't had a good hot dog in Tokyo and I was pretty sure that when I got to Grey's Papaya I was going to reunite with a tradition that I had when I was in New York.

And, boy, those hot dogs were "da shiznit." haha
