So, how are things going? I might be a little early, but I have a reason for it: I'm going to Hiroshima this weekend. Tomorrow (Friday), my CIEE colleagues and I will have a meeting concerning travel times, itinerary, et cetera. The only problem that comes to mind is what I've heard this past week: that the meeting time is at Ichigaya at 7:30am, something that I can't handle just yet but will have to eventually bear.

Don't know where you are, but I hope you're having a nice time.

Seemed to have done well on my kanji midterm.
Also tried a couple of beers: "namakuro" (draft black) is a fake beer but has alcohol and "yebisu" is a real beer and the most expensive. I dare you to try it. I had twenty-one cans of Asahi beer for my birthday. Didn't feel good.
My hockey stuff's in. Packed. Ready to roll. No joking. . . . Also joined their basketball club. I'm a pretty active dude. And the girls seem to love me for it.
Learned about the culture and the kids. Ah, Kugahara, what a wonderful bunch of kids!
Want to see my notes? There, I gave you a good example. Kanji class at it's best.

Finally, I'm still American. There's no stopping me there. I remember my roots. And I do my best to stick to them.
